The Thoreau Farm is located at 341 Virginia Road in Concord, Mass.

The farmhouse is located opposite Elm Brook Drive. It is painted red and there is a white sign on the lawn. (There is no street number on the building.) There is room to park in back of the house for at least several cars; any overflow needs to go to Elm Brook Dr. (There is no parking on Virginia Road.)

From the west, south, and east: Take Rte. 2 east or west, exiting onto Cambridge Turnpike in Concord. (This is where Rte. 2A joins and Rte. 2 takes the big 90-degree turn at Crosby's Corner-with a large traffic light, and a Mobil station on the corner. Cambridge Turnpike begins as a local road at the Mobil Station.) If coming from the west, turn left; if coming from the east, exit by going straight, following signs to Concord.

On Cambridge Turnpike, turn right after about .7 mi. onto Hawthorne Lane. At the end, turn right onto Lexington Road. After about .7 mi. turn left onto Old Bedford Road. A half-mile later, turn right onto Virginia Road. Thoreau Farm is about .7 mi. down on the left.

From the north: From I-95/128 south, exit onto Rte. 2A west. Follow signs to Hanscom Field, and turn right at the blinking light onto Hanscom Drive (the airport access road.) Bear left after about .7 mi. onto Virginia Road. Thoreau Farm is about 1.5 miles on the right.
